Scott Sproat has joined the Club as its Chief Operations Officer. Sproat had been with the Fort Wayne Komets for 23 years, most recently as the President of Business Operations. He also spent 10 seasons with the former Continental Basketball Association franchise, the Fort Wayne Fury, serving simultaneously as Fury CEO and as a regional vice president of the league.
In his new role, Sproat will oversee daily business operations as it relates to sales, marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and promotions, as well as gameday operations. He will work alongside National Soccer Hall of Fame inductee, DaMarcus Beasley, who serves as the Club’s director of the sports side of operations, as well as his role as part-owner of the club. Scott will also have a small ownership stake in the Club.
Mark Music, principal owner of the Fort Wayne FC, and CEO & owner of Ruoff Mortgage, stated, “Scott was an integral part of the Komet’s successful history as a top minor league operation and brand so we are thrilled that he will be joining us. We have a lot of momentum going on right now and Scott will help propel us to the next level.”
Sproat added, “I’m excited to be a part of Fort Wayne FC’s future as we establish our legacy in soccer in northeast Indiana. I look forward to working with DaMarcus and the fantastic group assembled behind the scenes of the Club.” His son, Reid Sproat, played for the team in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons.
