Fort Wayne, Ind. The USL2 released the official 2024 Fort Wayne FC professional men’s soccer schedule Thursday afternoon. The slate features 12 USL2 regular season matches including six home games to be played at Bishop John D’Arcy Stadium at the University of Saint Francis. Entering its fourth season of play, Fort Wayne FC will look to defend its 2023 USL League Two Valley Division Champions title. The Club’s season opener takes place on Saturday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m. against the Dayton Dutch Lions. USL2 division and conference playoffs are scheduled for late July with the league championship in August.
“2024 is both an exciting opportunity and a challenge for Fort Wayne FC as we look to build from a historic 2023 season,” stated Avery. “There will be a few familiar faces returning from last season and my plan is to get this new team up-to-speed and ready to defend our title. The bar has been set pretty high for Fort Wayne FC in just a few short years, but I believe we have identified a group of players capable of meeting these expectations for us this season.”
Additional “friendly” matches will also be added to the schedule, giving soccer fans the opportunity to see more Fort Wayne FC action on the pitch. Those games will be announced at a later date.
“We’re excited to be returning to the University of St. Francis this season and can’t wait to welcome our fans back for an incredible gameday experience,” commented Fort Wayne FC operations director, Laurie Perolio-Bullinger. “We also welcome our new partners for the Fort Wayne FC family and look forward to an action-packed season.”
